Spring Heritage Day - Saturday, June 1, 2013 from 10AM - 3PM. Vardy Church Museum & Mahala Mullins Cabin on Vardy-Blackwater Road. Bluegrass and gospel music. Antique tractor/ car show. Crafts and demonstrations include gristmill (corn meal), woodcrafts, homemade dolls, wood carvings, quilting, homemade jellies & jams, quilting, tobacco stick stars, moonshine still, homemade ruffling scarves, apple butter prepared on site, old mill soap, lye soap, and making a corn hole game. Artisan demonstrations include Eastern Woodland Native American Indians - Kituwah Warriors. Hourly door prizes. Concessions include hot dogs & chips or soup beans & corn bread.
